Bristol City player ratings vs Bournemouth: Cundy sends statement but Scott has tough afternoon

Dan Bentley - 6

Despite Bournemouth's possession, didn't have much to do until the goal but had little chance of keeping out Solanke's first. Should have done better with the second, beaten at his near post. Made a decent save on Anthony in the second half. Little chance with the third.

Jay Dasilva - 7

Had a tough first half out on the right. Not due to his own performance, but often had to deal with the extra man before the equaliser came down his side. Should have had an assist when his cross found Martin only for the keeper to deny him.

Robbie Cundy (off 80, Conway) - 8

Terrific first half, made a brilliant tackle when Bournemouth looked dangerous in the box. Good in the air and timely with the tackles. Booked for a rash tackle. An assuring performance.

Timm Klose - 7

Solanke's pace and movement caused him issues but he dealt with them well enough. Read the game well, covering for Atkinson on a few occasions.

Rob Atkinson - 7

Stunned the hosts by brilliantly heading home a corner after just three minutes. The power on his connection was too much for keeper Travers. Cleared two off the line. Does provide a moment's worry every now and again.

Cam Pring (off 58, Massengo) - 6

Like Dasilva, found it difficult to contain the overlap on the left side on numerous occasions and couldn't get himself forward due to Bournemouth's dominance.

Matty James - 7

Disciplined in the first half but struggled to get himself on the ball at times with Bournemouth's pressure. Found it difficult to make a forward pass.

Alex Scott - 6

Won the initial free-kick that ended up leading to the opening goal. Gave the ball away in the first half but saved by a great Cundy tackle. Moved to wing-back in the second half, couldn't deal with Dembele's pace for the third.

Andi Weimann - 7

Struggled to get on the ball in the first half, unsurprisingly and left chasing Bournemouth's terrific movement. May feel he could have blocked Cook's equaliser. Popped up at the end to grab his 19th of the season.

Chris Martin - 7

Came to life in the second half. Should have won a penalty when he was bundled to the ground and later should have scored the equaliser - denied by a great save.

Nahki Wells - 7

Plenty of running but was given a thankless task up front, feeding off scraps. May have felt he could have done better in possession on occasions. Made a brilliant pass to find Dasilva before Martin's huge chance.

Substitutes

Han-Noah Massengo (on 58, Pring) - 6

Deployed as the deepest of the midfielders on his introduction, tasked with attempting to block Bournemouth's passes forward.

Tommy Conway (on 80, Cundy) - N/A

A great assist to pick out Weimann.

Subs not used: O'Leary, Owers, Benarous, Vyner, Bell
