Bristol City next manager odds: Steven Gerrard enters the frame as Michael Flynn remains favourite

The search is well and truly underway for the next Bristol City manager.

Lee Johnson was sacked after four years in charge following Saturday's defeat to Severnside rivals Cardiff City, a defeat that all-but ruled the Robins out of a playoff spot this season.

Attention now turns to finding a new boss and we have already seen a number of high-profile names linked.

Tony Pulis was quickly installed as favourite, but he has now fallen away with Newport County boss Michael Flynn taking top spot.

Meanwhile, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is climbing, now fourth favourite, while former Nottingham Forest head coach Aitor Karanka and ex-Brighton boss Chris Hughton remain in the frame as far as the bookmakers are concerned.

The likes of Chris Coleman, Slavisa Jokanovic and Mark Robins are also included on the long list of names.

Here we look at the latest odds with SkyBet.

Michael Flynn - 11/10

Chris Hughton - 6/4

Aitor Karanka - 6/1

Steven Gerrard - 8/1

Mick McCarthy - 14/1

Ryan Lowe - 14/1

Mark Robins - 16/1

Slavisa Jokanovic - 16/1

Arne Slot - 20/1

Chris Coleman - 20/1
