Bristol City next manager odds: Michael Flynn and Chris Hughton favourites

Bristol City enter the new week in the hunt for a new manager for the first time in four years following the sacking of Lee Johnson on Saturday.

Johnson was dismissed from his role in the aftermath of the defeat to Cardiff City, which effectively brought an end to any outside chances of the Robins securing a spot in the play-offs.

The club's decision to move in a new direction has opened up a number of possibilities on the manager hunt and the latest odds show a new development in the market.

The latest SkyBet odds place Newport County manager Michael Flynn as the favourite to take the reigns, currently given a price of 6/4 - which suggests a lot of money has come in for the Welshman.

Former Brighton manager Chris Hughton, who was quickly established as the fan favourite for the vacancy by many supporters, is next in the running on 5/2.

Plymouth boss Ryan Lowe is next in the running at 8/1, with Mick McCarthy and Slavisla Jokanovic rounding up the top-five with a price of 12/1.

Next Bristol City manager

Michael Flynn - 6/4

Chris Hughton - - 5/2

Ryan Lowe - 8/1

Mick McCarthy - 12/1

Slavisla Jokanovic - 12/1

Chris Coleman - 16/1
