Bristol City next manager odds: Dean Holden odds cut as Cook and Hughton remain favourites

More than four weeks since Lee Johnson was sacked and the bookies odds have changed dramatically since.

Former Robins and Stoke City manager Tony Pulis was the early favourite, with the likes of Ryan Lowe, Steven Gerrard, John Terry and Danny Cowley all flirting with the top of the bookies odds as time moved on.

The picture looks a lot clearer now as several names ruled themselves out of the running as the weeks dragged on.

Paul Cook, Chris Hughton, Alex Neil and Dean Holden have all had their odds cut and lengthened in the last few days as the pack of favourites for the job shrinks.

Bristol Live understands that Hughton, Cook and Holden have been interviewed and shortlisted for the job in recent weeks and the Robins appear to be edging closer to making a decision after the second round of interviews.

A new name has now entered the bookies frame, with Eddie Howe joining the other four names in the mix after he left Bournemouth following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Cherries legend has not spoken about his future plans but will surely have several suitors elsewhere, and is also being given odds for the vacant Watford job and the Newcastle job.

Dean Holden's odds have more than halved since Saturday, sitting at 6/1 currently after being at 16/1 on the weekend. He joins Howe and Neil on 6/1, behind Chris Hughton and Paul Cook who sit in the first two places with several bookies.

Take a look at the latest odds below.
