Bristol City linked with move Championship striker also wanted by Norwich City and Birmingham City - report

Bristol City have been linked with a move for Jordan Rhodes.

The Sheffield Wednesday striker is a proven performer in the Championship and he netted six league goals from 36 appearances (with just six starts) on loan at Norwich City last season, helping the Canaries to promotion.

Norwich are said to want to re-sign the 29-year-old for their return to the Premier League, but Football Insider report that the Robins are also interested in his signature.

City have been keen on a striker before Thursday's transfer deadline day as they look to provide competition for Famara Diedhiou up front.

Yet there is plenty of interest in Rhodes, who will likely also come with some big wage demands due to his reputation for getting goals in the Championship.

The Robins started the final week of the transfer window with a bang yesterday, signing highly-rated midfielder Han-Noah Massengo from Monaco for an undisclosed fee.

Birmingham City are also rumoured to be plotting a move for the Scottish international and there is also said to be interest from Swansea City.
