Bristol City linked with former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper after reports in Sweden

Bristol City have been linked with interest in Swedish goalkeeper Oscar Jansson according to reports in his homeland.

In what would be a strange move, with the Robins currently having three senior goalkeepers on their books following the signings of Rene Gilmartin and Daniel Bentley, Swedish media claims the club have shown interest in the 28-year-old Orebro SK stopper.

Swedish outlet NA report that Orebro manager Axel Kjäll has confirmed the interest from the Robins but, as of yet, there has been no contact about the keeper.

Jansson came through Tottenham Hotspur's youth system before spending time out on loan at Exeter City, Northampton Town, Bradford City and Shamrock Rovers.

After leaving Spurs without making a first-team appearance, he spent a year at Shamrock before joining Orebro permanently in 2013.

Jansson has one Swedish cap to his name, and told Fotboll Skanalen that he is aware of interest from elsewhere.

He said: "I know there is interest, but I have not received any exact addresses.

"It is fun and it shows that you have done something good.

"I enjoy doing well in ÖSK but the ambition is always to take the step further, but I have been playing so long that I know that there is a difference in interest until something is concrete."
