Bristol City linked with £7m striker return also wanted by Leeds United and Nottingham Forest - report

Bristol City are reportedly eyeing up a surprise move for Cauley Woodrow.

The striker was previously on loan at the Robins from Fulham in 2017/18, making 15 league appearances and scoring two goals.

He is now at Barnsley and, after scoring 16 goals in League One last season, has nine in 22 Championship games so far this campaign.

The Mirror (via HITC) report that the Robins are interested in a move for their former loanee, but face competition from Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.

All three clubs are keen on a striker this month, with Leeds looking for a replacement for recently-recalled Eddie Nketiah - a player now wanted by the Robins and Forest.

Yet the report says Woodrow would not come cheap.

Barnsley are said to have set their asking price for the 25-year-old at £7m - and it remains to be seen whether any club would be willing to match those demands.
