Bristol City friendly: Fans warned over the resale of tickets for game against Weston-super-Mare

Weston AFC have issued a warning over the resale of tickets online for this evening's game against Bristol City.

The club issued a warning on social media after becoming aware of tickets being sold for resale.

It comes after tickets for the match today sold out in just a matter of minutes yesterday (August 25). Only 300 fans will be allowed in the

Weston AFC highlighted that tickets are to be used by the person who purchased them and checks will take place because of the Covid-19 track and trace system.

The team posted on social media: "We have been made aware that tickets to our fixture versus Bristol City XI are being advertised for re sale.

"All tickets sold are to be used by the person who purchased them, they are strictly not for re sale.

"This is a legal requirement due to the COVID-19 track and trace system that we are using.

"There will now be mandatory ID checks for all supporters when entering The Optima Stadium to confirm the ticket validity."

It's the first time Bristol City fans will be seeing their team since lockdown began.

For the game this evening, it will be all-ticket with a reduced capacity of 300 due to Covid-19 restrictions, which means that social distancing at the stadium must be adhered to at all times.
