Bristol City fans send Reading message after late goal earns draw at Brentford

Bristol City fans feel their game against Reading on Saturday is now a must-win following a last-gasp draw against Brentford.

The Robins put in a below-par second half performance and fell behind to Josh Dasilva's goal before Andreas Weimann's late header earned a point at Griffin Park.

It means City have drawn three games in a row and sit seventh, one point off the play-offs and four points off the top of the table.

Fans have immediately turned their attentions to the visit of Reading on Saturday and are not playing down the significance of the game ahead of the international break.

Daniel: A must win game at home to reading should get us into the play offs for the international break. Such a great start to the season.

Philip Bryant: Must win against Reading on Saturday!

Thomas Richardson: Can't lose to Reading. Three points urgently needed to get into the play-offs.

Arron Besser: In the end a good point even though it wasn't a great performance. Onwards to Saturday at the Gate now.

Matty Davis: I’ll take a point considering we didn’t play well at all, but it's still nine unbeaten and all eyes are on Saturday's game against Reading.

After the Robins' performance against Brentford, most fans were happy with the point - and some even expressed sympathy for the home fans following recent results between the two sides.

Mitch Ford: Decent draw on the road to Brentford. Not an easy place to go and get something and remain unbeaten in nine.

Mike: I can't think of a ground that we have picked up so many undeserved points in recent seasons than Griffin Park. Three seasons in a row we've been outplayed by Brentford and yet we have a return of five points from those games...

Chris Hooper: Brentford fans must be annoyed with us tonight and again. For the last few seasons they've outclassed us at their place and again we seem to leave with an undeserved point.

Simon Devlin: Not at our best. Bentley winning us points. Great signing.

Chris Jones: In all my years of watching Bristol City, away trips to Griffin Park often ended in defeat so, despite the overall performance, I'll take a 1-1 draw.

Jack Webber: Normally one of his biggest critics but Jack Hunt was outstanding tonight, man of the match for me.

Chris: Poor second half, happy with the point.

Chris Down: Take that. Point away. Decent team, Brentford. Love the way this squad is shaping up.

Paul Newman: Well played City. Difficult game and to come away with a point is a good result. Up the City!

Steve Smith: A point is just about all anyone deserved from that utterly uninspiring game of football.
