Bristol City fans hit-out after Sky Sports commentary error in tonight's game against Brentford as Derby County audio is broadcast

Bristol City fans have taken to social media to express their anger at Sky Sports.

City fans tuning into the live coverage of their side's clash away at Brentford on the red button were in for a surprise tonight.

Despite the broadcaster showing live pictures from Griffin Park, the audio accompanying the live pictures was the commentary from Derby County's game with Barnsley at Oakwell.

At least one match in the Championship's midweek schedule is selected for live coverage on Sky Sports.

But supporters also have the option of the red button service, which allows them to watch the rest of the fixtures happening at the same time.

The initiative was first brought in by the broadcaster at the start of the 2017/18 season, and became an instant hit with supporters, and although the error was quickly fixed, it didn't stop fans from voicing their displeasure on Twitter.
