Bristol City fans were united in their praise for Niclas Eliasson after the winger inspired his side to a 5-2 victory over Huddersfield Town this afternoon.
The Swede has found starts hard to come by recently but was one of five changes made following a disappointing defeat to West Brom in midweek.
He subsequently produced a stunning first half performance that was the toast among Robins supporters.
Dean Allen: A much needed goal-fest for Bristol City after a few indifferent performances lately. The width that Eliason offers has to be the answer at home. LJ’s changes today worked well and offered us more going forward. Onwards and upwards!
Myles: Is that what it feels like to be good?
OIIB: Johnson got slated on Wednesday night and took responsibility. Deserves all the plaudits today.
Edward Waddell: What a difference Eliasson makes!
Barn: Give Eliasson the armband, a five-year deal and £40k a week the bloke is the best thing to come out of Sweden since Ikea meatballs.
Adam Bridge: Eliasson is the goat.
Ryan Carreyett: More than made up for Wednesday today! Eliasson to start next six games on the bench.
Fevs: Both teams entertained and warmed us up on a bitter day. Eliasson unplayable in the first half, Massengo so energetic in the press and Brownhill able to drive forward. Only thing missing was a Diedhiou goal. One of his best games for us.
Ned Holmes: Niclas Eliasson the man of the moment for me. Has had to wait for a chance in the starting XI but proved today that Johnson simply cannot afford not to have him in the side. A goal and two assists today (if you count the own goal, which I do).
Callum: Eliasson absolute class today.
