Bristol City defender Zak Vyner in race against time to play in Europa League after completing loan move to Aberdeen

Zak Vyner is believed to have completed his loan move to Aberdeen.

The Bristol City defender has agreed a loan deal at Pittodrie and is now eligible to play in the Europa League this evening.

Vyner faces a race against time to get to the game, with the Dons said to be desperately trying to arrange a flight to Croatia for him.

The 22-year-old is eligible to play against Rijeka after his new club registered him before deadline for the game.

Aberdeen have limited defensive cover and are looking at various options to fly the young Robin out to the match.

Vyner spent last season on loan at Rotherham United and will now be playing in the Scottish Premiership.

With interest in Dons defender Scott McKenna - including from Bristol City - Vyner's arrival comes as a timely boost to manager Derek McInnes.
