Bristol City have allowed homegrown goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott to join Swindon Town on a permanent deal.
The academy graduate joined City as a teenager, but never made a first-team appearance.
He has joined Swindon – relegated to League Two last season – on a free transfer, with City holding a sell-on clause.
Wollacott played for Swindon twice last season after being sent to the County Ground on an emergency loan deal, and he has made a permanent switch to Wiltshire in hope of securing regular playing opportunities.
"This is a great opportunity for Jojo to push on and establish himself in first team football and he leaves with our blessing," City player pathway manager Brian Tinnion said.
“Jojo has been a great character around the club - he has remained patient, always worked hard and he has been the upmost professional. We wish him all the best in his future.”
The 24-year-old joined City a decade ago, and he went on to have 10 senior loan spells.
He follows Rene Gilmartin to Swindon, with City's former third-choice goalkeeper being named as John McGreal's assistant manager.
As a result, 19-year-old Harvey Wiles-Richards is set to be elevated to the first-team squad as cover to Dan Bentley and Max O'Leary.
