Bristol city centre scenes as delirious England fans celebrate quarter-final victory

Bristol city centre saw jubilant crowds last night as England fans took to the streets to celebrate the Three Lions' win over Ukraine in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.

England ultimately strolled to a 4-0 victory in Rome last night (July 3), confirming their place in the last four of the European Championships as Harry Maguire, Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane (twice) scored in what was ultimately a comfortable win.

Similar scenes had been seen around the city on Tuesday night as fans revelled in the last-16 win over Germany, with the celebrations leaving pubs and venues across the city calling for "no more incidents" on Saturday night.

However, despite a slow start to the build-up to the game across the city's popular venues, the excitement ramped up across the city throughout Saturday and came to a peak following the final whistle in Rome.

A video taken from Broad Quay in the centre of the city near midnight last night (July 3) shows crowds of England fans having taken to the streets to continue their celebrations, with crowds filling the plaza well into the night.

Crowds appearing to contain hundreds of people can be seen in the city centre chanting "It's coming home" into the late hours of the night in celebration of England's advancement to the semi-finals of Euro 2020.

Similar scenes to those in Bristol were seen across the country, with fans in London, Manchester and most other cities witnessing similar scenes of jubilation across last night.

England will now return to Wembley to face Denmark in the second semi-final of Euro 2020 on Wednesday night.
