A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Bristol city centre overnight. Emergency services were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a car in Baldwin Street at around 1.25am on Sunday (October 23).
Police, fire and ambulance were all called to the scene and the road didn't reopen until nearly two hours later at about 3.20am. Avon and Somerset Police is appealing for witnesses of the collision.
Pictures from the scene show the city centre area around Baldwin Street with Clare Street cordoned off, with a couple of police cars in attendance and several officers at the scene.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "Emergency services attended a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in Baldwin Street, Bristol which happened at about 1.25am on Sunday 23 October.
"Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene and a man was taken to hospital. His next of kin are aware. The road was reopened at about 3.20am, after an examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicle, a black Hyundai i800.
