Chelsea striker set to leave in the summer linked with Aston Villa, Bristol City, Southampton and Fulham interest

Bristol City have been linked with a summer move for Martell Taylor-Crossdale.

The Mirror report that the Robins are one of four clubs keeping tabs on the striker, who is out of contract at Chelsea this summer.

City are said to be interested in the 19-year-old along with Aston Villa, Fulham and Southampton.

He has proved a prolific goal scorer at youth level for Chelsea and won the Premier League under-18 golden boot award in 2015/16.

In 2017, he played a key role in England's victory at the prestigious Toulon Tournament, but his career has faltered a little since then.

He has yet to score in 12 games at Premier League Two level this season, and the Blues seem willing to let him leave in the summer - despite reports a year ago claiming they believed he had what it takes to become a star at Stamford Bridge.

It means that a fresh start could be in line for Taylor-Crossdale this summer, and the Robins are said to be interested in him.

City have already taken three Chelsea players on loan this season in the form of Tomas Kalas, Jay Dasilva and Kasey Palmer, with the deals for the latter two also containing options to buy.

With the Robins also having been the first to unleash Tammy Abraham's talent in a loan deal from Chelsea, it shows how highly they rate the youth system at Stamford Bridge, meaning these reports could well prove to be correct.
