Bristol café loved for its incredible 'freakshakes' reopens for takeaway

A Bristol café which has grown a huge following for its incredible 'freakshakes' has reopened for takeaway.

Beehive Coffee House has attracted widespread interest for its jaw-dropping creations since opening, including a festive shake finished off with a Christmas candy cane and spooky Halloween editions.

Its owners shut up shop in March when lockdown measures were enforced across the UK but have decided to reopen today (Monday, May 18), after restrictions were eased by the Government last week.

The news was revealed via a statement on the Downend cafe's Facebook page, which received plenty of interest from its excited followers.

It reads: "Our entire menu will be available for TAKEAWAY ONLY, including our famous freakshakes, coffees, brekkie, lunch and home-made cakes! We will also be doing a foodie weekly special so keep your eyes peeled

"We hope you have all been well and safe and we look forward to seeing you soon."

Takeaway freakshakes cost £6.95 with options including the Nutella jar and Oreo shake, alongside a wide range of other hot drinks, smoothies and more.

Food includes a number of breakfast options ranging from toast and butter to the full English, as well as lunch dishes including sandwiches, salads and paninis.

You can either pre-order by calling the café on 0117 9575299, or simply turn up without ordering.

Beehive Coffee House is located at 14 Badminton Road, Bristol, BS16 6BQ.
