Bristol café Dom's Coffee House suddenly closes

A coffee shop in Bristol city centre has closed suddenly.

Dom’s Coffee House on St Augustine's Parade is the latest eatery in the city to shut its doors.

A message on the website from the café’s owners, Louis and Lisa, reads: “It was an honour to have created a place that gave pleasure to people, especially those who returned time after time.

“Who knows what amazing relationships and consequences may have been created through Dom’s.

“Sadly, Dom’s has to close, but we wish to say a huge thank you to our wonderful staff, customers and friends we met along the journey.”

There is also a sign on the door of the café apologising for the closure.

Dom’s Coffee House was an eco-friendly café that had eliminated plastic from the business and served coffee roasted by Stokes Croft-based company Triple Co Roasting.

The café’s pastries were from Hobbs Bakery in Chipping Sodbury and its cakes were made in St Philips.

The company’s website states that Bristol Escape Rooms and Cruse Bereavement Care are open as usual by appointment.

The director of Dom's Coffee House is named as Louis Sherman on the Companies House website.

It is not yet known why the café closed. The owners have been contacted for comment.
