Bristol Big Brother star Josie Gibson opens up about 'hating' body in inspirational message

Bristol Big Brother star Josie Gibson has received heaps of praise online after posting a bikini snap with an important message.

Josie, who won Big Brother's eleventh series in 2010, oozed confidence in a candid picture posted on Instagram as she shared a message about her past struggles with body images.

The star has been trolled for her looks in the past, something which led to her "hating" her body for years.

But now she's part of a growing body positivity movement and her honesty has gone down well with fans.

The Mirror reports 34 year-old said: "I've spent years hating my body, it's been the laughing stock of magazines and social media posts.

"I've got to a point in my life where I absolutely love my body and everything it does for me. Yes I want to make some home improvements but it's like decorating the house you love."

She then spoke about a talk she will give at the Body Confidence Live show in Glasgow, saying "it’s been a journey to get to this mind set and I can not wait to share it."

Fans took to the comments section to gush over Josie's honesty and message.

One shared their appreciation with the star, writing: "You look amazing!!! Body confidence is something so hard to learn as I'm doing it right now after 4 children all born by caesarean the weight doesn't shift from my mumma pouch. So I'm currently learning to love my stripes and the rest will follow."

Glamour mode Nicole McLean said: "You are amazing inside and out x."

Lindsay over at Body Confidence Live penned: "Aah Josie! You look fab...we can't wait to hear from you this weekend & all get together to create some positive, confidence boosting vibes...see you soon xx."
