Bristol Bears superstar centre Semi Radradra is an Olympic gold medalist.
The man who worked in Fiji's dangerous gold mines as a teenager before becoming one of the biggest rugby stars in the world now has a sizeable lump of the precious mineral to add to his ever-growing trophy cabinet.
Radradra, 29, did not feature in the Olympic Sevens final at Tokyo 2020 having been flown in late this summer to link up with the established Fijian Sevens squad to add some extra firepower.
In the end, Fiji had enough strength without him to beat New Zealand 12-27 in the final to win back-to-back gold medals in rugby’s shortened version of the game having won the inaugural competition back in Rio in 2016.
Radradra, who is normally the Fijian’s 15-a-side international captain, did feature earlier in the competition to help the Pacific Island nation to the final.
The Bristol star scored the decisive try in the semi-finals with his first touch off the bench as Fiji ran out 26-14 winners over Argentina, who had surprisingly knocked out Rio bronze medallists South Africa in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
Argentina went on to win the bronze medal at the Tokyo Stadium, beating Team Great Britain 17-12 to leave Rio’s silver medalists emptied handed this time around.
Bristol-based Alex Davies and Gloucester-born Dan Norton were heavily involved in the action in the bronze medal match as two key members of the GB squad.
