Bristol Bears star Kyle Sinckler has been cleared of biting allegations following a lengthy disciplinary hearing today.
Earlier today, British and Irish Lions head coach Warren Gatland confirmed Kyle Sinckler had denied any wrongdoing despite being cited for allegedly biting Springbok lock Franco Mostert during last weekend's 27-9 defeat to the Springboks.
Gatland clearly had plenty of faith in the Bristol tighthead having named him in his 23 to face South Africa in the decisive third Test on Saturday before the outcome of the hearing was known.
The series is currently tied at 1-1.
Impact man Sinckler has been named on the bench for the Lions for the third straight weekend, with Ireland's Tadhg Furlong starting in the three jersey.
Earlier today, Gatland said: "He has denied anything and we are waiting to hear any decision from the hearing.
"Sometimes those sorts of things happen.
"There is nothing clear on any video evidence which I have looked at so we will just wait and see what comes back from the hearing."
The citing committee said: "Having reviewed all the evidence, the committee deemed that on the balance of probabilities, it could not be satisfied that the player committed an act of foul play."
Sinckler will now be free to play this weekend.
