Bristol Bears are set for a double boost in the forwards this week with news prop Max Lahiff and lock Dave Attwood have both recovered from injuries to be in the mix for selection to face Worcester Warriors.
Both powerful forwards were sidelined with calf injuries but are now back fit and in full training ahead of Round 12 of the 2020./21 Gallagher Premiership with the Bears heading up the M5 to Sixways.
Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam said: "Dave Attwood should be back for selection and Max Lahiff as well so that is good coming the other way.
"It is especially good to get guys back in the pack, we have been struggling in the front five with Max, Kyle Sinckler [England duty], Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro [calf] out - that is a big hit and also with the hookers. Certainly getting numbers back helps in training as well."
In a typically physical 17-3 home win over Leicester Tigers on Saturday there were a number of players to pick up knocks, bruises and strains.
Providing an update, Lam said: "Luke Morahan and Ioan Lloyd took knocks, again we are just accessing how they are this week.
"Obviously we have got some good depth there, certainly on the wings.
"Moz felt his hamstring and Ioan was more of a case of a bruising on his leg so we will see how they get through this week."
Callum Sheedy is back with the Bears after his superb cameo for Wales in their 40-24 victory over England in the Six Nations on Saturday, winning rave reviews and is likely to come straight back into the starting side at fly-half for the trip to Sixways.
Lam also confirmed Bristol's first choice scrum half Harry Randall is set to be sidelined for another two months with the ankle injury he sustained on international duty.
Lam revealed his explosive 23-year-old number nine will not need surgery but is likely to be unavailable until the end of April.
“Unfortunately Harry is going to be out for another seven or eight weeks, which is obviously frustrating," Lam said.
The injury leaves Lam very short at scrum half with just Andy Uren and Tom Kessell fit from his senior squad, with Chris Cook and Blake Boyland also sidelined with injuries.
