Bristol bar to launch 'mini oasis' when it reopens

A Bristol bar will launch a "mini oasis" in the heart of Stokes Croft when it reopens next month.

The Canteen is renovating its outside seating area to make it more welcoming and usable all-year round, as it gears up to welcome customers again on April 14.

More tables are being added to the terrace and new artwork is being created to give the space a fresh look. Not only that but there will also be a brand new menu for al fresco diners to enjoy.

The Canteen will serve an all-vegetarian menu focusing on seasonal, local and organic produce, with all ingredients sourced from within 50 miles of the city and freshly prepared, washed down with locally-brewed booze.

A spokesperson for The Canteen said: "We are delighted to be able to present to you our all sunny, all dancing, refurbished terrace, just in time for you to get together with your much missed mates and enjoy a pint or two on our very own secluded sun-trap.

"In case the sun doesn’t always shine, we’re installing a brand new all-weather awning to keep you dry and cosy on days when the weather is less so.

"We’re upping our table game and adding loads more seating, making sure there’s room for everyone whilst outside is the place to be, and will be unveiling some fresh new artwork to keep your peepers happy too.

"It’s our own mini oasis right in the heart of Stokes Croft."

The Canteen terrace will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am.

The Canteen's sister venue, No 1 Harbourside, will also be reopening for al fresco service on April 14. For more information and to book, email hello@no1harbourside.co.uk.

From April 12, restaurants and pubs with outdoor eating facilities will be able to serve food and drink again as part of the Government's roadmap out of lockdown.
