Four new Covid-related deaths have been confirmed in the Bristol area over the last 24 hours.
Three fatalities within 28 days of a positive Covid test have been confirmed in the Bristol city today (Thursday, September 30).
Another death has been confirmed in South Gloucestershire.
These deaths have been reported along with 283 new cases in the city and its surrounding areas.

There were 79 new positive tests in the city over the last 24 hours, with 126 in Bath and North East Somerset.
There were 46 new cases in North Somerset, as well as 32 in South Gloucestershire.
The total number of cases confirmed in each region around Bristol, with the daily rise in brackets, are as follows:
- City of Bristol - 59,757 (+79)
- North Somerset - 19,847 (+46)
- South Gloucestershire - 30,401 (+32)
- Bath and North East Somerset - 18,284 (+126)
The total number of deaths recorded in each region are as follows:
- City of Bristol - 532 (+3)
- North Somerset - 331 (-)
- South Gloucestershire - 377 (+1)
- Bath and North East Somerset - 237 (-)
Across the United Kingdom there have been a further 36,480 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said - taking the total across the country to 7,807,036 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
There have also been a further 137 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Thursday morning, bringing the UK total to 136,662.
However, the Government data up to September 30 shows that 48,829,118 first doses of the Covid vaccination have been given throughout the UK - a rise of 31,539 on the previous day.
Some 44,867,373 second doses have also now been given, a daily increase of 34,093.
