Bristol Airport shares vital M5 closure warning over pylon removal

A stretch of the M5 will be closed at times this weekend for a major National Grid project near Bristol.

The overnight closure will see a section of motorway closed from Saturday (September 4) to Sunday (September 5) morning.

This will be to remove pylons across the motorway.

Bristol Airport, which alerted motorists to the closure, added that Caswell Hill and Caswell Lane in Portbury will be closed at the same time.

The airport shared the notice in a post on social media.

The tweet read: "The M5 will be closed overnight between junctions 19 - 21 from 22:00 - 05:00 on Saturday 4th to Sunday 5th September.

"This is due to the National Grid removing two lines of pylons across the motorway.

"Also, Caswell Hill and Caswell Lane, Portbury will be closured at the same time."
