Bristol Airport: Green list country where unvaccinated passengers could have to wear electronic tags

The Caribbean is on the UK's green list, which means it is one of the safer places to travel.

Although, that doesn't mean there aren't a lot of rules that need to be followed for British tourists and holiday-makers.

Masks have to be worn at all times during travel, including at the airport.

A valid PCR negative test result must be presented by all passengers arriving from the UK, and it taken no more than three days in advance of travel.

All passengers are also required to complete an Embarkation/Disembarkation (ED) card 24 hours before travelling, report Berkshire Live.

Anyone arriving without this could be denied entry.

Barbados accepts the UK's proof of Covid recovery and vaccination record.

NHS appointment cards are not valid.

Anyone who has not had two covid jabs faces a far more unrelaxing trip.

On arrival, they will be quarantined at approved government facilities like a hotel or an approved villa - at their own expense.

They will be required to take a second PCR test five days after arriving.

They will also need to remain in their rooms and may be required to wear an electronic tracking bracelet until they recieve the results of that second test.

If the second test is negative, they are allowed out of quarantine.

Vaccinated passengers will be given a rapid PCR test at the airport or a government approved building.

They must stay at their accommodation until the results, around 24 hours.

If those tests are negative there will be no further quarantine.

Anyone who tests positive at any point will have to self isolate.

They will be transferred to a government approved building for at least 24 hours.

They are warned these places are "basic" and not as luxurious as some of the country's hotels.

Alternatively, they can request to self-isolate where they are staying.

Anyone who comes down with Covid must stay at their accommodation until they are fully recovered, which could mean several weeks.

Away from Covid, visitors need to some unusual laws in the country.

For example, It’s an offence for anyone, including children, to dress in camouflage clothing.
