Bristol 'abduction': Police share images of pair who took missing Tillie, 8, to McDonald's

A missing Bristol eight-year-old has been found "safe and well" after tens of thousands of people shared an appeal to find her.

Avon and Somerset Police launched an urgent appeal this morning to find eight-year-old Tiolah, after her mum reported her missing yesterday evening (Wednesday, December 17).

UPDATE: Tiolah has now been found safe and well and two people have been arrested. The latest information can be found here

Police had previously said she left her home in Bedminster shortly after 3pm yesterday (December 17) with a family friend and an unknown man.

They were due to go to McDonald's and return her home to her mum within an hour, but did not and police said they were treating her disappearance as a suspected abduction.

The original police statement read: "While there may be a reasonable explanation police are treating this investigation as an abduction."

A major search ensued and the force shared images of the little girl and the two people she was believed to be with.

These have since been removed from this article due to the case now being active.

The police appeal went live shortly after 6am and an update was shared just before 10.30am.

It read: "Police have located eight-year-old Tiolah safe and well in Bristol this morning following an appeal to trace her.

"A man and a woman have been arrested.

"Officers would like to thank everyone who contacted us or shared the appeal."
