Eleven young talented singers will join Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in the "RBSO Young Talent Sings Broadway" concert at the Small Hall of Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Friday at 8pm.

They are winners from the two seasons of the Search For Talent Vocal Competition. Aged between eight and 16, they have been screened and selected from hundreds of entries and have sung in live auditions before a group of esteemed judges.
Held to support and highlight the young singers who excel in vocal style of musicals and cartoon music, the concert will feature Broadway's favourite tunes from such musicals as Jekyll And Hyde, Annie, Evita, Oliver, Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon, Carousel and The Sound Of Music.
Two guest vocalists on the evening will be Rapeeporn Pratum-anon, winner of numerous awards including the Most Promising Female Singer of Asia from Penang Shanghai World Star Quest (2008), and Korawij Devahastin Na Ayudhya, who won the Bangkok Opera International Competition in 2003. Both have also appeared in many Broadway shows.
Conducting the orchestra for this special performance will be Dr Nora-ath Chanklum, resident conductor of the CU Symphony Orchestra and CU Strings Orchestra and also instructor at the Department of Music, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University.
Tickets cost 300, 600 and 1,000 baht (half prices for students) and can be purchased from thaiticketmajor.com (tel 02-262-34546).
