Arsenal fans have been reacting to the news Edu has been named as the club's first technical director.
The former Gunners midfielder, who was part of the team that went undefeated on their way to the 2003-04 Premier League title - has departed the Brazilian Football Federation to take up the post at Unai Emery's side on the back of a Copa America success.
His role will consist of blending together the first-team coaching staff, the academy, player scouting and recruitment departments.
The Brazilian joined Arsenal in January 2001 and spent four-and-a-half years at Highbury before departing for Valencia.
During his time in North London he won two Premier League titles and a pair of FA Cup trophies.
He made 127 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 15 times.
He has previously held a similar post at Brazilian side Corinthians.
Arsenal fans have welcomed him back to London with open arms and are looking forward to seeing his work unfold.
