The Robins went 3-0 ahead before clinging on for victory after the Rams scored twice in the second half, leaving fans delighted with the win.
Debutant Markus Henriksen impressed in particular, picking up man of the match in a result that closes the gap in the race for promotion.
The Robins have second-placed Leeds United on Saturday and fans are in confident mood, knowing a win will move them level on points with Marcelo Bielsa's side.
