It's been a lively Monday morning for Leeds United fans as they reacted an interview with the club’s chairman Andrea Radrizzani as he teased major investment.
Speaking to The Times , the Italian confirmed interest in the club from Qatar Sports Investment, the owners of PSG, who “have the possibility to bring this club to compete with Manchester City”.
He also confirmed interest from a couple of other potential investors, an American-based Leeds fan and the owner of an Italian club.
Having lived through Ken Bates, GFH Group, Massimo Cellino and now Radrizzani - all in the last ten years - Leeds fans are well-versed in takeover talk and rumours, but this is the first time that the Qatar link has been directly confirmed by the chairman.
