'Bring Bob back' – Plea for safe return of pop-up cop removed from busy B937 road in Fife

Police are appealing for the safe return of a pop-up cop swiped from a busy Fife road.

'PopUpBob' has been in position on the B937 at Charlottetown in a bid to deter speeding motorists on the route.

However North East Fife Police have now taken to social media to issue a heartfelt appeal after the "valued member of their team" was removed from the street against his will.

They say he was taken away sometime between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on Thursday (29 August). Officers want anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them on 101.

Police posted: "He is an invaluable member of our team and we would like to see his safe return. #BringBobBack."

They jokingly added on Twitter that they are arranging a 24-hour police presence at Krispy Kreme in case he turns up there.
