Aston Villa promoted, Leeds United miss out but who should really be Premier League next season?

If you could choose, who would be in your ideal Premier League?

Forty-nine different teams have graced England's top flight since the Premier League's inception in 1992.

Barnsley, Blackpool and Swindon Town have had one season and one season only at the highest echelon of English football, while six teams have remained since its inception - Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham.

A number of England's biggest clubs have been and gone and struggled to find their way back again.

Under Dean Smith, Aston Villa climbed back up from the second tier this season, beating Derby County in the Championship playoff final.

In doing so, they joined Norwich City and Sheffield United to become Premier League once more.

Sunderland are languishing in League One currently after missing out on promotion back to the Championship in the League One playoff final. Charlton Athletic, another former topflight side, were the victors at Wembley to peg them back from another year.

Leeds United have been missing from the Premier League since 2004, and thanks to Derby County they will have to wait a little longer for a reprieve with Marcelo Bielsa.

Only 20 teams can make up the Premier League, but who would you have?

Would you focus on derby matches, and have the two Sheffield clubs - United and Wednesday - in there? Would you bring Sunderland back to do battle with Newcastle United?

Or would you like to see only southern based or northern based sides in there, to keep the travelling down?

You might even want to bring a club in that has never had the opportunity to play in the Premier League before.
