Brilliant video shows family of ducks 'quacking' their way down Edinburgh's Dundas Street

A brilliant video has emerged showing a mother duck and her family of ducklings "quacking" their way through Edinburgh.

The footage shows the little creatures crossing the road at Dundas Street before heading down towards the Water of Leith.

Julie Ashworth shared the video to social media, adding that they'd actually started their epic journey on Queen Street near the city centre.

She tweeted: "These gorgeous creatures quacked their way ALL down Dundas St #Edinburgh to the Water of Leith."

The family has been spotted elsewhere in the city centre in recent days, with one person even saying they'd seen them on Princes Street.

In recent weeks, with lockdown in place and humans remaining indoors, there have been instances of wildlife appearing where you'd least expect it.

Edinburgh Live reported at the weekend how a friendly fox was seen exploring the normally busy Waverley train station on an early morning hunt for food.
