Hilarious video at Dublin Airport of girl 'escalator surfing' goes viral

A video of a girl 'escalator surfing' at Dublin Airport has started going viral as it's part of a new 'I have never' challenge.

Armagh native, Chloe Clarke, is currently taking part in a year long challenge to raise money for Epilepsy Action.

The challenge is called 'I Have Never' and involves Chloe carrying out something every day for a year that she has never done before.

She told Dublin Live: "I have been documenting everyday on social media and have done things like; milked some cows, celebrated international Women's Day by burning my bra and learned the alphabet in sign languages.

"All of my challenges can be found using the following hashtag #Ihavenever365challenge and for Day 189, I decided to do some surfing at Dublin Airport."

Chloe decided to set herself this challenge as she wanted to do something different for a fundraiser that is close to her heart.

She continued: "My eldest daughter was diagnosed last year with Idiopathic generalised Epilepsy and it was like the rug had been pulled from under all of our feet when we were told.

"We didn't expect it and certainly never contemplated it either as we typically associated 'fits' and 'episodes' with someone having a seizure on the floor and that's it.

"But Lilli doesn't suffer from the stereotypical epilepsy, she has absent and myoclonic seizures and since diagnosis she has been prescribed medication which has now stopped these but this has been through trial and error and has made her very ill at times."

Chloe has already raised £855 of the £1,000 target with money going towards funds to help with research for drugs and for support to those who have been diagnosed with the illness.

If you would like to donate or find out more information on the challenge, you can find the fundraising page here .

Dublin Airport officials have previously warned passengers not to attempt 'escalator surfing'.

A spokesman for the Airport told Dublin Live: “While this may appear to be a bit of harmless fun, it’s actually quite dangerous and could result in a significant injury for anyone that attempts it.

"The safety and security of our passengers is Dublin Airport’s key priority at all times."
