Brilliant new Katie Taylor mural unveiled in Dublin City centre

A new mural of Katie Taylor has gone up in the Liberties over the weekend.

The creation which honours the Irish sporting legend can be found outside Peadar Browns pub in South Dublin.

They said: “Our new mural by Tallaght Artist Geoff Tracey.

“We truly believe this woman is the greatest athlete our country has ever produced and she is such an important role model to us all.

“This is our tribute to her.”

Tallaght Artist Geoff Tracey illustrated the female hero who hails from Co Wicklow.

Taylor herself commented on the post saying: “I love it!! Thanks so much guys, so honoured!”

Taylor is turning 35 in July and she took her professional record to 18-0 with a win over Natasha Jonas in Manchester earlier this month.

Taylor's next fight looks set to come in Leeds in September against a mandatory opponent before she faces either Jessica McCaskill, Amanda Serrano or Jonas again towards the end of the year.

And it appears Dublin have beaten Bray to the punch with the latest mural.
