A "brilliant" man took his own life while the mother of his unborn child was in hospital, an inquest heard today.
Bradley Crellin, 31, died on Friday, April 9, at his home on Lutyens Close in Anfield.
His fiancée Becci McDonald, 28, shares a son with Bradley, and she is currently six months pregnant with their second child.

When Becci met Bradley, also known as Lee, around 20 months ago, he was living on the streets.
Becci says the two had built a happy home, and that her daughter from a previous relationship saw Bradley as a stepfather.
The ECHO understands Bradley also had an eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship called Hope who "misses her dad very much".
Becci, who is originally from Bootle, previously told the ECHO she had met Bradley while he was on the streets, saying: "I got chatting to him, I often would speak to people who didn't have a home.
"He had been homeless on and off for around seven years, he had a really traumatic childhood, he'd been in and out of care.
"We went on a date and I took him in not long after. My daughter adored him.
"People might not think we were together that long but we were joined at the hip, we were best friends."
Liverpool Coroner's Court heard Bradley rang Becci while she was at the Royal Liverpool Hospital and told her he had taken a combination of prescription medication.
Becci told him to call an ambulance, and when her calls later went unanswered she called paramedics, who reached his home at 9.09pm and were unable to save him.
A note which senior coroner André Rebello said "clearly anticipated his death" was found close to Bradley's body.
The inquest heard an internal examination found no signs of a natural cause of death.
Dr Rebello ruled that Mr Crellin had died by suicide at his home address on April 9.
A full cause of death was given as mixed drug toxicity.
Following this, Mr Rebello said: "Every one of us is going to die, but none of us want to be remembered for our deaths.
"Please remember Bradley's life. Make sure that events in his life are remembered by you always."
Due to the time he spent living on the streets, Bradley was well-known within the Whitechapel Centre and its community, who have paid tribute to him.
A spokeswoman for the centre said: "We were very sad to hear about Bradley’s death.
"We supported him over a number of years and he was well-known and well-liked by staff, volunteers and other members of the homeless community.
"We last saw Bradley more than a year ago as he was settled with Becci but he will be remembered as a polite and helpful young man, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends, RIP Bradley."
