Brighton vs West Ham LIVE: Premier League commentary stream, TV channel, latest score, line-ups, prediction

Brighton vs West Ham
Premier League 2019-20
Venue: Amex Stadium
Date: Saturday, August 17, 2019
Kick-off time: 3pm BST

West Ham travel to the South Coast hoping to drastically improve on their start to the new Premier League campaign.

The Hammers suffered a heavy 5-0 home loss to champions Manchester City on the opening dat of the season - their worst defeat since they moved to the London Stadium - and will be keen to avoid another slow start.

But getting three points against Graham Potter's Brighton may prove a difficult task after the Seagulls' impressive 3-0 victory at Watford.

Brighton vs West Ham team news and predicted line-ups

West Ham’s club-record £45million signing Sebastien Haller is a doubt for their trip to Brighton after suffering a knock against City.

The striker is to be assessed again on Friday with Felipe Anderson also facing a late fitness test.

After missing the majority of last season having been plagued by injury, Jack Wilshere suffered a new scare against Man City and is a doubt for Saturday's game.

Brighton boss Graham Potter could hand Neal Maupay his full debut after his goal against Watford.

The French striker, a £20m arrival from Brentford, found the net after coming off the bench and could start in place of Glenn Murray.

Potter has new injury concerns ahead of his first home game in charge and has the luxury of being able to select from a full squad.

Possible Brighton XI: Ryan; Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo; Stephens, Propper; Trossard, Gross, March; Maupay.

Possible West Ham XI: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Masuaku; Rice, Wilshere; Antonio, Lanzini, Fornals; Hernandez

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 West Ham

The Seagulls got their season off to a flying start with a 3-0 win against Watford at Vicarage Road and will be hoping to build on that success.

But West Ham will be smarting from the 5-0 thrashing they received from Man City, and Pellegrini will be demanding a big performance as a result knowing his side are capable of better.

With the likes of Felipe Anderson and Sebastien Haller in attack, it's difficult to see the Brighton defence keeping them quiet, and the east London outfit can expect a tough ride.

TV channel and live stream information

The match will not be televised in the UK due to broadcasting restrictions from the FA, Premier League and Football League for games between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on a Saturday.

Brighton vs West Ham head to head (h2h) results and history
