Brighton vs Tottenham: Prediction, team news, tickets, live stream, TV, h2h - Premier League 2019/20 preview

Brighton vs Tottenham
Premier League 2019/20 season
Venue: AMEX Stadium
Date: Saturday 5 October, 2019
Kick-off time: 12:30pm BST

Tottenham travel to Brighton today looking to bounce back after a humiliating night in Europe.

Spurs suffered the heaviest defeat of their 137-year history as Bayern Munich ran riot in north London with a memorable 7-2 victory.

The defeat has raised questions over Mauricio Pochettino’s future at the club – with Jan Vertonghen admitting the Spurs squad was “ashamed” of a result that leaves them playing catch up in the Champions League.

But they must now swiftly shift focus back to domestic matters with Brighton looking to pile on more misery.

Tottenham will be without Serge Aurier after the right-back’s sending off against Southampton last Saturday.

Summer signings Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso remain unavailable through injury.

Brighton could be without Shane Duffy once again with Davy Propper also a doubt after missing out last weekend with a hamstring problem. The hosts will however be boosted by the return of Solly March, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Leon Balogun from injury.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham XI: Lloris; Sissoko, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies; Ndombele, Winks, Eriksen, Lamela; Son, Kane

Brighton XI: Ryan, Webster, Burn, Dunk, Montoya, ;Propper, Stephens, Mooy, Altaze. Gross, Maupay
