Brighton vs Manchester United: Premier League prediction, TV channel, live stream, team news, time, h2h, odds

Manchester United are under pressure heading into their second game of the new Premier League season at Brighton today.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side looked leggy and disjointed as they lost their opening match of the 2020/21 campaign 3-1 at home to Crystal Palace.

With United playing catch-up already in the race for the top four, they can ill-afford another slip-up so early on in the season as they head to the south coast.

Brighton lost their opening game 3-1 to Chelsea at the Amex Stadium, but Graham Potter's Seagulls have won their last three games since - two in the Carabao Cup - and a 3-0 League victory at Newcastle last weekend suggests this could be a real test for the visitors.

Date, time and venue

Brighton vs Manchester United is scheduled for a 12:30pm BST kick-off today.

This match will be played behind closed doors at Amex Stadium with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: The match will be televised on BT Sport 1, with coverage starting from 11:30am.

Live stream: BT Sport subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the video player and the BT Sport app.

Team news

Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are out injured, while Sergio Romero is aiming to seal a move away from Old Trafford.

Aside from that trio, the real problem Solskjaer faces is a lack of match fitness among his squad.

The likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes should all start at Brighton, though Solskjaer has a dilemma in other positions.

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Man United

United go into this game as undoubted favourites, but Brighton have found some form already and will make life very difficult for their guests.

Solskjaer's men looked good on the break in their Carabao Cup win at Luton, but that 3-0 victory glossed over a sub-par performance - and they will need much better here.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Of the six Premier League meetings between the clubs, Brighton have won twice and United four times.

United have won the last three League games in a row, including 3-0 at the Amex back in July - but before that Brighton had won their previous two home games against the Red Devils.
