Brighton vs Manchester United Carabao Cup fixture date and time confirmed

Manchester United will take on Brighton in the Carabao Cup fourth round next Wednesday evening.

The game at the Amex Stadium has been confirmed as a 7.45pm kick off (BST) on Wednesday 30 September and will be shown live on Sky Sports to viewers in the United Kingdom.

United booked their spot in the fourth round by cruising beyond Luton Town 3-0 last week, courtesy of goals from Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood. Graham Potter's Brighton, meanwhile, beat Preston North End 2-0 in the third round.

It will be the second meeting between United and Brighton at the same stadium in the space of four days, with United travelling to the Amex Stadium for a Saturday lunchtime Premier League game on September 26.

United were dumped out of the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage by rivals Manchester City last year, losing the Manchester derby contest over two legs.

Carabao Cup fourth round draw in full:

Liverpool v Arsenal

Burnley v Manchester City

Brentford v Fulham

Everton v West Ham

Aston Villa v Stoke City

Leyton Orient/Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea

Newport County v Newcastle United

Brighton v  Manchester United
