Fans returned to English football for the first time in almost six months at the Amex Stadium this afternoon as Brighton and Chelsea drew 1-1.
Following the green light from the Government, Brighton made 2,500 tickets available to home fans for the pre-season friendly.
Frank Lampard handed debuts to two of his new signings in Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech on the south coast in a game between two sides also due to meet in the Premier League on September 14 - and Werner got off the mark with a goal after just four minutes.
However, the second half was a tougher affair for Chelsea: Willy Caballero saved a Neal Maupay penalty before Ziyech departed with an injury, while Pascal Gross scored another Seagulls spot-kick late on to seal a 1-1 draw.
