Brighton restart their Premier League campaign at home to Arsenal with the Gunners looking to bounce back from defeat at Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta’s side fell to a 3-0 defeat at the Etihad on the opening night of Project Restart on Thursday with David Luiz at the centre of a calamitous evening.
The Brazilian picked up a three match suspension after his red card with Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari also limping off.
Arsenal remain eight points behind fourth place Chelsea having now played the same number of games.
Brighton meanwhile restart their campaign just two points off the relegation zone.
Date, time and venue
Brighton vs Arsenal is scheduled for 3pm BST kick-off on Saturday, June 20.
The Gunners are on the road again with Brighton's AMEX Stadium hosting the contest.
Team news
David Luiz will serve the first of his three match suspension and may have well played his last game for the club if his contract situation isn’t resolved.
Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari are doubts after limping off against Manchester City while it remains to be seen whether Mesut Ozil will be included.
The German international was left out of the match day squad due to ‘tactical reasons’. Arteta insisted on Thursday there are no issues with the playmaker.
Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Arsenal
Arsenal shows familiar vulnerability against City but it is difficult to understate the importance of having a game under your belt after a three month absence.
Even at this stage, more dropped points would be detrimental to Arsenal's chances of launching a late battle for fourth place. Three points is a must.
