Premier League
Manchester City need one more win to secure the title but will win it without kicking a ball if Liverpool beat Manchester United tomorrow. Any lingering relegation jitters Brighton fans may have been suffering from will have evaporated ast the final whistle of their win over Leeds United. Fulham are at Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea in a game that kicks off in five minutes and one suspects nothing less than a win will realistically do for Scott Parker’s side.

Full-time: Brighton 2-0 Leeds United
Premier League: Brighton were their usual wasteful selves but Fabian Gross and Danny Welbeck did enough to take all three points against a seriously out-of-sorts Leeds United.
Championship: Teemu Pukki makes it Norwich City 4-1 Reading at Carrow Road, while Rotherham equalise at Blackburn Rovers courtesy of a fine free-kick from Lewis Wing. That’s a huge goal from Wing - as things stand nobody is being relegated from the Championship today, although Wycombe are as good as down because their goal difference is so bad.

AFC Wimbledon go ahead against Porstmouth with a clearly offside goal that was flagged by the linesman, who was weirdly over-ruled by the referee. Sunderland, meanwhile, lead at Plymouth Argyle. A win today will guarantee them a play-off place.

Today's League Two fixtures
Cheltenham Town secured promotion to League One with their midweek draw against Carlisle and will – notwithstanding a wild swing in goal difference – go up as champions if they beat Newport County today.
Cambridge United squandered another chance to secure promotion, losing by the odd goal of nine to a second-string Harrogate side in an extraordinary game at the EnviroVent Stadium last night.
The U’s remain in second place with one game left to play but can still be overtaken by Bolton, Morecambe and Tranmere Rovers. Should Morecambe and Tranmere fail to win this afternoon, Cambridge will go up. A win for Bolton will guarantee the Lancashire side one of the three automatic promotion places.
Grimsby Town were relegated in midweek and Southend will join them in the National League unless they beat Barrow. Even victory is unlikely to be good enough for the Shrimpers, who will go down if both Colchester and Scunthorpe avoid defeat.

Already promoted Norwich City will win the title with a win over Reading. Daniel Farke’s side will also be crowned champions if Watford, who have also guaranteed their promotion, fail to win their match against Brentford.
At the bottom of the table, all three relegations could be confirmed today. Anything other than a win will guarantee Wycombe’s quick return to League One and even victory over Bournemouth might not be enough to keep them hanging on for another week, depending on results elsewhere.
Sheffield Wednesday must at least draw with Nottingham Forest in the lunchtime kick-off to give themselves any chance of staying up, while defeat against Blackburn will consign Rotherham to the drop.

Brighton v Leeds
With their social media team participating in a high profile boycott, it’s probably safe to say that Leeds looked a little leggy in their bore-draw with Manchester United last weekend without fear of subjected to mockery – and the inevitable pile-on – that comes with it by the club’s Twitter account.
While they have nothing to play for, it is difficult to imagine Marcelo Bielsa countenancing the sight of his players downing tools, even if Brighton might hope to get an easier game than many who have faced Leeds this season. The Seagulls are not yet safe and their inability to score let them down once again in defeat against Sheffield United in their most recent outing.
Defeat against Leeds would come as welcome news in the Fulham dressing-room ahead of their must-win game against Chelsea at 5.30pm. Later tonight, Everton host Aston Villa in a game the Merseyside club almost certainly need to win to keep their hopes of underwhelming in next season’s Europa League group stages alive.
