Brighton transfer fear revealed amid Moises Caicedo to Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd links

Moises Caicedo's Brighton team-mate Pervis Estupinan has admitted he is worried his fellow Ecuador international will leave the Seagulls this summer. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked, with the two London sides appearing most likely to sign Caicedo.

In the January transfer window, offers from Chelsea and Arsenal came in for the midfielder but Brighton had no intention of letting him depart at the time.

Even with two bids from north London in excess of £70million and a statement from Caicedo himself revealing his desire to leave and offer Brighton their record transfer sale, he remained on the south coast and signed a new contract the following month.

While that appeared to be a detrimental blow to the clubs' hopes of signing Caicedo, it has since been made clear there is a clause in that deal which will help him facilitate a move this summer -though there is no clear price set.

Despite making Declan Rice their priority signing, as football.london understands, at this moment in time it looks as though Arsenal have put in more work in to sign Caicedo over Chelsea.

The Gunners are said to be pulling together a new £75million package offer to sign Caicedo, and while it is not too different from their winter offer, Brighton are now far more inclined to sell.

A report from Ecuadorian outlet Teradeportes also revealed, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with the midfielder over a move in the summer. It is, however, claimed that Chelsea will offer Caicedo an ultimatum with better wages to pass up the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

It is possible that Caicedo remains at Brighton, but his club and national team-mate Estupinan has hinted that occurring is unlikely. As quoted by ESPN, he said: "I think that having a player of Moi’s category, many teams would like him.

"We all fear that he will leave us . As I have always talked to him, if he stays I will be very happy to play next to him, to continue enjoying his football."
