Brighton's stance on Ben White future at Leeds United amid Liverpool and Tottenham links

Brighton and Hove Albion have made their stance on Ben White clear ahead of the January transfer window.

Leeds United have benefited from the services of the 22-year-old on loan so far this season but there had been fears that Brighton could recall the defender.

White has impressed for Marcelo Bielsa's men as they chase promotion to the Premier League this term.

His form had led to speculation that Brighton could recall White in January amid transfer links with the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.

But reports say that Brighton have reiterated their desire to see White's loan at Leeds continue until the end of the season.

Brighton head coach Graham Potter said recently: "There is all sorts of talk, as we know," said Potter recently. "But the reality of it is that he is our player and he has got a future with us and we are looking forward to having him back at the right time and go from there. He is a player we like a lot.

"If you see how he plays, the attributes he has fit us. He is at Leeds now. He is on loan. You let that run and settle down at the end of the season. He is at Leeds and doing a good job there."

Leeds don't have the option to sign White permanently next summer amid talk that Brighton could sell the centre-back for upwards of £20m.
