Brighton player sends Aaron Wan-Bissaka warning ahead of Manchester United fixture

Brighton star Leandro Trossard has admitted he is wary of Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of his team's meeting with Manchester United.

The midfielder has lauded Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side as both teams look to carry on their promising Premier League form at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Seagulls' last home game was a dramatic 2-1 win over Arsenal and Trossard believes they can take confidence from that win, as they seek to end United's 14-game unbeaten run.

Speaking to Brighton's official website, Trossard talked up United and Wan-Bissaka in particular.

He said: “The way they’re playing at the moment is very good, there are some big names and their biggest strength is the pace and skill they have in attack.

“One-on-one they can take people on, so it’s a challenge because speed in the modern game is a massive thing.

“Aaron Wan-Bissaka has probably been my toughest opponent so far, he has a bit of everything. He is quick, strong and is good on the ball.

“You think you’ve got away from him and then he can be back on you, but  it’s another chance to test myself against him.”

United were comfortable 3-1 winners at Old Trafford in November in the reverse fixture, but Trossard believes Brighton have a great chance on Tuesday.

On the United game in general, he added: “It’s an exciting game to be involved in. Of course we’d like the crowd to be there, but those sorts of games are what you want as a player.

“You want to challenge yourself against the best, like we have done in our last two matches, and now we have another opportunity to play well again.

“The key for us has probably been the belief in ourselves as a group that we can take points off anyone in the division.

“The comeback against Arsenal really showed that, we kept going until the last seconds to win the match and it’s proved to be massive for our confidence.”
