Brighton 'join Arsenal and Manchester United' in race for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard

Brighton are reported to have joined the battle for Odsonne Edouard's signature.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the numerous clubs believed to be interested in the Celtic striker, and now Brighton have joined that list.

Edouard has been a major success at Celtic since being brought to the club by Brendan Rodgers in 2017, scoring 65 goals in 128 matches while securing three Scottish Premiership titles.

The Times report that Celtic don't expect Edouard to sign another contract, and must decide whether to sell the £30 million-rated Frenchman now or wait until next summer when he enters the final year of his contract.

They say that Brighton have joined those clubs with an interest in Edouard, who has scored 11 goals in just six games for France's under-21s.

The 22-year-old began the Premiership season in style with a hat-trick in Celtic's 5-1 opening weekend win against Hamilton Accies at Celtic Park, but was frustrated on Sunday as Neil Lennon's side were held to a 1-1 draw at Rugby Park by Kilmarnock.

Edouard was the Premiership's top scorer for 2019/20, scoring 22 goals before March's shutdown.
