Brighton & Hove Albion vs Newcastle United: Lee Ryder's Premier League prediction

Newcastle United are in danger of being cut adrift at the bottom of the table but now isn't the time to panic.

That's why emerging with a draw from this game should not be considered the worst result in the world.

I hear you, Newcastle are in dire need of wins, but with three less daunting home fixtures coming up against Brentford, Norwich and Burnley the table could be looking a little bit different between now and the start of December.

Looking at the bigger picture in that respect means that bolting on what would be a precious point at Brighton could set Newcastle up moving forward.

Lee Ryder's prediction

The Seagulls aren't perched in seventh place by accident, they are there on merit with Graham Potter doing a superb job on the South Coast.

Potter has made Brighton hard to beat and they are unpredictable if anything else.

They don't give up when the chips are down and Newcastle can learn a lot from that going into this weekend.

I get the feeling that Graeme Jones has been planning another defensive strategy and putting the club's long-term future first.

And I think that will be enough to yield what will be a solid but unspectacular draw.

Not perfect, but with that batch of winnable home games on the horizon, not a disaster either.
