Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Tuesday, August 4.
Ben White hint
Leeds United may have been given a hint towards the potential signing of Brighton defender Ben White following an admission from a Seagulls' chief.
The Whites saw the young defender excel during his season on loan at Elland Road and are desperate to bring him back to the club on a permanent basis.
While securing a deal will be difficult, Tony Bloom has suggested there could be movement surrounding defenders at the club: "I’m not going to speculate on whether we may or may not get offers for many of our players," Bloom told the Athletic.
"We certainly do have an abundance of centre-backs and there are constant discussions between myself and Graham and Dan (Ashworth, technical director) and the recruitment team about what our needs are, what’s going to be happening.
Eddie Nketiah celebrates double
Eddie Nketiah has celebrated a historic double, having come off the bench for Arsenal in the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday and lifting the cup.
That comes alongside earning a Championship winners medal for his performances on loan with Leeds United, having made enough appearances in the promotion-winning success.
It's a feat that has not happened since 2009, so the striker has made history this season.
'Sizable' pot to spend
Leeds United will have a 'sizable' pot to spend this summer following their promotion to the Premier League, football finance expert Kieran Maguire has stated.
The Whites are able to offer top-flight football for the first time since 2006 and, speaking to MOT Leeds News, Maguire shared how big Marcelo Bielsa's transfer kitty will be.
“Yes there will be money to spend as the first tranche of the broadcast deal will be received shortly.”
“The upgrades to the stadium are one-off costs, and even with pay rises linked to promotion, there is still a sizeable pot for the playing budget in terms of recruitment.”
